Major Fire in Dharavi After Cylinders Explode in Truck; Multiple Vehicles Damaged

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): On Monday, two separate incidents involving gas cylinder explosions triggered panic and chaos in Mumbai and Bareilly, though fortunately, no casualties were reported in either case.
In Mumbai's Dharavi area, two gas cylinders stored inside a truck suddenly exploded around 9:50 PM near the Nature Park of PMGP Colony on the Sion-Dharavi Link Road. The explosion led to a fire, which was brought under control by fire officials. According to the police, the truck driver has been taken into custody. The blast caused significant panic in the area and led to heavy traffic disruption along the busy link road. Municipal officials confirmed that four vehicles were damaged in the incident, and 19 fire engines were deployed to douse the flames.
Earlier in the day, a major fire broke out in a gas agency truck in Bithri Chainpur, Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh. The fire, which started outside Rajau Parsapur village, resulted in a terrifying series of loud explosions as over 345 gas cylinders stored in the truck exploded one after another. The incident caused widespread panic in nearby villages. Officials stated that while the explosions were intense, there were no injuries or fatalities.
Authorities are currently investigating the causes of both incidents.
