Magnitude 5.3 Earthquake Hits Pakistan, Tremors Felt in Kashmir

Islamabad (The Uttam Hindu): A magnitude 5.3 earthquake struck Pakistan on Saturday at around 1 pm, with tremors felt in parts of Kashmir. The earthquake had a depth of 10 km and its impact was felt in several areas, including Srinagar, Jammu and Shopian. According to the earthquake's coordinates (Lat: 33.70 N, Long: 72.43 E), the tremors caused widespread fear, with people gathering on roads and leaving buildings for safety.
Videos on social media showed people rushing out of shops and buildings during the tremors. Fortunately, no casualties or damage to property have been reported in the Kashmir valley. Authorities are yet to release further details on the impact of the earthquake. The tremors served as a reminder of the region's seismic activity, leaving many on edge.
