Liquor Ban Announced at 17 Religious Sites in Madhya Pradesh

Narsinghpur, Madhya Pradesh (The Uttam Hindu): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced on Thursday that the state government will ban the sale of liquor at 17 religious sites across Madhya Pradesh.
"Everyone is aware of the harmful effects of alcohol consumption. We want to ensure that our youth, the future of our nation, are protected from its negative impact. Therefore, the Madhya Pradesh government will enforce a liquor ban at 17 religious places," the Chief Minister stated during an event in Narsinghpur district.
He further added, "Liquor will be prohibited in places where Lord Krishna and Lord Ram are believed to have set foot in Madhya Pradesh."
The Chief Minister had previously expressed plans to develop locations associated with Lord Ram and Lord Krishna as pilgrimage sites in the state.
