Lalu's aide Ritlal Yadav, brother surrender in extortion case; sent to jail

Patna (The Uttam Hindu): Lalu Prasad Yadav's close aide and RJD MLA from Danapur, Ritlal Yadav, along with his younger brother and three other accused, surrendered in Danapur Court of Patna. All of them were sent to Beur Jail after being produced in the court. They have serious charges against them like demanding extortion money from a builder, threatening and preparing fake documents.
MLA Ritlal Yadav's lawyer told the court that the entire case was politically motivated and false. He claimed that the builder had deliberately filed a fake case, and Yadav and his associates surrendered voluntarily as soon as they came to know about the police action. No one has filed a bail plea yet, but it will be done soon.
On April 11, the police raided 11 locations related to this case.
