New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Counting of votes for Delhi Assembly elections is underway. Meanwhile, the initial trends of the Election Commission have also started coming out. According to the Election Commission, BJP is leading on 45 seats. According to the official figures of the Election Commission, out of 70 seats in Delhi, BJP is leading on 45 seats, while Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is leading on 25 seats. At the same time, Congress has not been able to open its account yet.
According to the Election Commission, the BJP is leading in Narela, Bawana, Kiradi, Mangolpuri, Rithala, Karawal Nagar, Mustafabad, Seelampur, Shahdara, Vishwas Nagar, Ghonda, Kondli, Kasturba Nagar, Shakur Basti, Delhi Cantt, RK Puram, Madipur, Rajouri Garden, Tri Nagar, Najafgarh, Rajendra Nagar, Matiala, Chhattarpur, Bijwasan, Sangam Vihar, Patel Nagar, Mundka, Uttam Nagar, Gokalpur, Palam, Nangloi Jat, Mangolpuri, Laxmi Nagar, Shalimar Bagh assembly seat.
On the other hand, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is leading in Rohini, Sultanpur Majra, New Delhi Tilak Nagar, Greater Kailash, Ambedkar Nagar, Deoli, Badarpur, Trilokpuri, Seemapuri, Matia Mahal, Chandni Chowk, Sadar Bazaar, Timarpur, Ballimaran, Badarpur seats.
Actually, counting of votes for Delhi assembly elections started at 8 am. Votes are being counted at 19 counting centers in Delhi. Today the fate of 699 candidates will be decided. Earlier on February 7, the Election Commission had presented the total voting figures in Delhi. According to the Election Commission, a total of 60.54 percent voting took place in 70 assembly seats in Delhi.
Most exit polls have predicted the return of BJP in Delhi after 27 years. According to Election Commission data, the party is leading in 39 seats. In this way, it can oust the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP from power. However, Congress is expected to get a maximum of 0-3 seats. AAP, which dominated the last two assembly elections in Delhi, won 62 out of 70 seats in the 2020 elections, while the BJP won eight seats. Congress, which ruled Delhi for 15 years, failed to open its account in the last two assembly elections and its performance is expected to be the same this time too.
