Kejriwal Writes to Chief Election Commissioner, Alleges BJP Workers Attacking AAP Cadres
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Aam Aadmi Party's National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal has claimed that his party workers are being attacked by BJP workers in New Delhi Assembly constituency. Kejriwal has written a letter to the Chief Election Commissioner on Sunday regarding this.
Kejriwal has also made some demands in the letter. In the letter, Kejriwal wrote that independent election observers should be appointed in the New Delhi Assembly. The Election Commission should ensure the safety of Aam Aadmi Party volunteers. The policemen responsible for such incidents should be suspended immediately. The BJP workers who attacked should be arrested immediately.
Let us tell you here that on February 1, Aam Aadmi Party posted a post on social media platform X. Through this post, allegations were made against BJP. It was written in the post that BJP goons are constantly attacking Aam Aadmi Party workers to stop them from campaigning. Journalists are also being attacked. BJP wants to win the elections on the basis of violence, but the people of Delhi are educated and intelligent, they will defeat them badly by pressing the broom button.
While retweeting a video, Arvind Kejriwal wrote, "Look here. Amit Shah is scared of the youth of the country while singing and dancing. When a government starts getting scared of the youth, then it is a sign that these are the last days of the government."
New Delhi Assembly seat where Arvind Kejriwal is in the fray for the fourth time. He is pitted against BJP's Pravesh Verma and Congress' Sandeep Dixit. A triangular contest is expected on this seat. Candidates of all three parties are claiming that their victory is certain. Elections are to be held on 70 assembly seats of Delhi on 5 February. Results for 70 assembly seats will be declared on 8 February.
