New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Arvind Kejriwal, the National Convener of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has written to the Election Commission raising serious concerns over irregularities in the voter list for the New Delhi assembly constituency. In his letter, Kejriwal accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of using the addresses of some of its leaders and central ministers to create fake votes. He has demanded that an FIR be filed against those involved.

Kejriwal specifically highlighted an instance where 33 new votes had been registered at the address of BJP candidate Parvesh Verma. He claimed that if this action was done with the knowledge or consent of the candidate, Parvesh Verma should be immediately disqualified from contesting the upcoming elections. The AAP leader alleged that the BJP is manipulating the voter list in a covert manner to hide its actions from the public eye. In the letter, Kejriwal wrote, "After AAP exposed attempts to manipulate voter lists, the BJP seems to have adopted a new tactic. Votes are being transferred to the New Delhi constituency using the addresses of BJP leaders and MPs from across the country."

Kejriwal also raised concerns about the suspicious registration of 33 new votes linked to Parvesh Verma’s official residence, questioning how 33 people could suddenly change their residence overnight. Through his letter, Kejriwal urged the Election Commission to take immediate action to address the alleged voter list manipulation. The Election Commission is yet to respond to the accusations.
