Karni Sena Unleashes Fury: Vandalism and Chaos Erupt Outside MP's Residence

Agra (The Uttam Hindu): Agra, Uttar Pradesh, witnessed a violent protest by Karni Sena members on Wednesday, sparked by a statement made by Samajwadi Party's Rajya Sabha MP, Ramji Lal Suman, regarding Rana Sanga. The protesters, equipped with a bulldozer, reached Suman's residence, breaking through police barriers.
The youths vandalized Suman's home, breaking windows of vehicles parked outside and destroying chairs. The police attempted to disperse the crowd using lathi charges but were met with resistance. Several policemen were injured in the process. The Karni Sena's protest was strategically timed, coinciding with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's visit to the city, where he was attending a program at Dariyanath temple. The police were caught off guard, and their efforts to stop the protesters were initially unsuccessful.
The protesters had started gathering at Kuberpur in Etmadpur around 12:15 pm and began moving towards Suman's residence. Despite police attempts to stop them, the convoy managed to reach Suman's house at 1:30 pm. Security was increased at Suman's residence, with police forces deployed at the gates and barriers set up to prevent further vandalism. However, the protesters managed to breach the security and cause significant damage. The incident highlights the escalating tensions and violence surrounding the issue, with the Karni Sena demanding action against Suman for his statement.
