Jathedar Gyani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj Meets Himachal Students, Promotes Interstate Cooperation

Amritsar (The Uttam Hindu): A delegation of students and teachers from Government College Barsar Hamirpur met with Jathedar Gyani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, where they shared their positive experience of visiting Punjab despite initial warnings from some individuals. The students revealed that they were advised against traveling to Punjab, but they decided to come anyway and were pleased to find a welcoming environment.
During the meeting, the students also expressed their desire to build a Gurughar in their home state of Himachal Pradesh. Jathedar Gyani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj assured them of his support and welcomed the initiative. He emphasized that Punjab, being the land of the Gurus, is a place where everyone is treated with respect and dignity. The Jathedar also appealed to the people of both Punjab and Himachal Pradesh to maintain goodwill and harmony. He lamented that politicians often try to spoil the atmosphere and create tensions between the two states. He pointed out that the recent restrictions on Himachal buses entering Punjab were a result of such politics and not a reflection of the sentiments of the common people.
In a significant development, the Himachal Pradesh government has decided to lift the restrictions on its buses entering Punjab, following recent tensions between the two states. This move is expected to improve relations between the two states and promote people-to-people contact.
