Jalandhar: Two Gangsters of Lawrence Gang Encountered by Police

Jalandhar(The Uttam Hindu): In Jalandhar, the district police commissioner carried out a drive and encountered two henchmen belonging to the Lawrence gang. It is reported that Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma received some intelligence about them and informed the district police immediately. Once the police parties reached the place, it was an easy catch with three pistols and hundreds of cartridges recovered.

The arrested gangsters were taken to a village near Nangal Shama for searching for more arms. However, on the way, they tried to attack the police with a surprise attack using hidden arms.

A shootout followed, which hurt both gangsters. The former were later admitted to a hospital for medical treatment. The suspects have various cases against them, such as extortion, murder, Arms Act violations, and the NDPS Act. The police are actively pursuing further investigations into the gang's operations and affiliations.
