Israel wreaked havoc on Gaza, carried out 94 air strikes in 72 hours; 184 people died

Gaza (The Uttam Hindu): At least 184 people have been killed in Israel's air strikes in Gaza for the last three days. Hamas' Gaza-based media office said that the Israeli army carried out 94 air strikes on the Gaza Strip in the last 72 hours, killing 184 people. The office described these attacks as dangerous and brutal. The report said that many victims were either killed or injured in Israeli airstrikes. Apart from this, many people are feared to be trapped in the rubble. Palestinian civil defense officials in Gaza have confirmed that Israeli airstrikes have intensified in the last three days, which is a difficult time for local residents.

The statement said that the Israeli army is fully responsible for these horrific crimes and also criticized the US administration for providing arms and political support. They called on the international community and the United Nations Security Council to send independent investigation teams to document these heinous crimes. Israel intensified its military operation in Gaza on Thursday after Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a stern warning to Hamas over the release of the hostages. Talks mediated by Qatar, Egypt and the US have stalled over key issues, including the continuation of the ceasefire, reports Xinhua news agency.

According to Gaza health officials, more than 45,000 Palestinians have been killed so far. Hamas carried out massive attacks on southern Israel on 7 October 2023. During this attack, Hamas kidnapped 250 civilians, of which about 100 are still in captivity.
