Washington (The Uttam Hindu): As the tariff war continues to dominate headlines, the White House conducted both physical and cognitive tests on former President Donald Trump on Friday. Trump spent nearly five hours at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center undergoing various medical examinations. While the official report is still awaited, Trump confidently told the media, “I did very well in the tests. My heart, soul, and cognitive ability are absolutely fine.” He added that the results are expected by Sunday, as confirmed by the White House press secretary.

Trump, 78, is three years younger than President Joe Biden and is set to become the oldest U.S. President to take oath if re-elected in January 2025. Interestingly, despite repeatedly raising questions about Biden’s physical and mental fitness, Trump himself has not released his medical records publicly. After the tests, he flew to Florida via Air Force One and mentioned that doctors have advised him to adopt a healthier lifestyle. “I felt I was in very good condition. We have a good heart and a good soul,” he said.

The former president also revealed that he took a cognitive test and claimed he answered every question correctly. However, he did not disclose specific details about the examination. While there is no legal obligation for U.S. presidents to make their medical records public, the issue often becomes a point of political debate, especially during election seasons. Trump had previously promised to release his health records but has yet to follow through.
