INDIA UNLEASHES: India's permanent representative to UN Tears Apart Pakistan's J&K Claims

New Delhi(The Uttam Hindu): India's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Parvathaneni Harish, delivered a scathing response to Pakistan's claims on Jammu and Kashmir at a UN meeting on Friday. Harish condemned Pakistan's "fanatical mindset" and "record of bigotry," emphasizing that Jammu and Kashmir has always been an integral part of India. Harish's statement came after Pakistan's former Foreign Secretary made an unjustified reference to the Indian Union Territory. Harish asserted that such references will neither validate Pakistan's claim nor justify their practice of cross-border terrorism.
India had earlier rejected Pakistan's accusations of "sponsoring terrorism," stating that the world is aware of the true "epicentre of global terrorism." This response was prompted by Islamabad's allegations of New Delhi supporting terror activities, although they stopped short of directly linking it to the recent Balochistan train attack. During his speech, Harish highlighted India's diversity and pluralism, noting that the country is home to over 200 million Muslims and stands united with the UN in condemning incidents of religious intolerance. Harish also emphasized the need to address the broader challenge of religious discrimination, stressing that India believes in fostering a world free from religious hatred and violence. He urged the UN to unite, rather than divide, in deliberations on issues of faith.
