Human Skeleton Discovered Inside Suitcase on Church Premises; Police Investigating

Kollam (The Uttam Hindu): A sensational incident has come to light in Kollam district of Kerala, where a human skeleton has been found inside a suitcase in a church premises. The skeleton has been found near the cemetery of CSI Church in Kollam. Police have reached the spot and started investigation. In the initial investigation, the skeleton appears to be human.
According to the police, this skeleton may be quite old and there is a possibility of it being a case of murder. The police is investigating through scientific methods and old missing persons cases are also being investigated. The skeleton has been found in a mutilated state. The police believes that probably someone might have put the body in a suitcase and thrown it here.
This suitcase was seen this morning when some people came to work in the church premises. They were working on the pipeline route, when they found this suitcase in a wooded area near the church cemetery.
This incident has been added to the chain of recent incidents of human remains being found in Kerala. It is worth mentioning that in January 2025, human skulls and bones were recovered from the fridge of a deserted house in Chottanikkara, Kerala. This house was lying vacant for the last 12 years and had become a den of anti-social elements. When the house was searched after a police complaint, human bones kept in a plastic bag were found inside the fridge. The owner of the house is a doctor who has been living in Kochi for many years and his children are settled abroad.
The incident of finding a skeleton in the church premises in Kollam has spread panic in the area. The police are investigating the matter thoroughly and the case is expected to be solved soon.
