New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): At Gauri Sweets, located on the Lucknow Highway, a unique and luxurious treat is attracting a lot of attention this Holi season: Gujhiya decorated with gold and silver work. These royal creations are becoming the talk of the town, elevating the festival of colors and sweetness to new heights.

The traditional Gujhiya, typically filled with khoya and dry fruits, is already a beloved part of Holi celebrations. However, Gauri Sweets has added an extraordinary twist with more than a dozen varieties of Gujhiya, including the highly anticipated golden Gujhiya. This version is not only a visual spectacle but also a feast for the taste buds. The golden Gujhiya, adorned with 24-carat gold, is filled with a rich blend of pine nuts, Kashmiri saffron, golden ashes, pistachios, cashews, almonds, and other special dry fruits. The result is a dazzling dessert that combines luxury with flavor and nutrition.

Manager Shivakant Chaturvedi shared that this golden Gujhiya is a first for the district, with an initial production of five kilos. Each piece costs Rs 1300, and the price per kilo is Rs 50,000. To enhance the experience, each golden Gujhiya is given special packaging. The preparations for this lavish sweet began on March 1, and it will be available in abundance on special orders.

In addition to the gold version, customers can also enjoy silver-decorated Gujhiya at Gauri Sweets. People are flocking to the sweet shop not only to taste the golden treat but also to admire its glittering beauty, making it a must-see attraction this festive season.

Shivakant’s tale of innovation and tradition is a perfect example of how age-old recipes can be reimagined to fit modern tastes and elevate cultural celebrations, making this Holi even more special.
