New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Like every month, banks will observe multiple holidays in March 2025, leading to closures on various dates across different states. Apart from Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays, banks will remain shut on several festival-specific holidays. However, online banking, ATMs and digital payment services will continue to function 24/7.
Banks to Remain Closed for 14 Days in March
According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Bank Holiday List, banks across India will remain closed for 14 days in March including Holi, Eid-ul-Fitr and other regional festivals. While these holidays vary by state, they fall under the Negotiable Instruments Act of 1881, which governs official bank holidays.

Since most of these holidays fall on weekdays, customers are advised to plan their banking activities in advance. While physical bank branches will remain closed, digital banking services including net banking, UPI, and ATMs will be fully operational.
