Hindon to Jammu Flights Take Off: A Game-Changer for Vaishno Devi Pilgrims from Delhi-NCR

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): In a significant move, flight services from Hindon Airport in Ghaziabad to Jammu have commenced, providing a major relief to passengers traveling to Vaishno Devi from Delhi-NCR. The first flight took off from Hindon to Jammu at 9:30 am on Sunday, marking the beginning of a new era in air connectivity between the two cities. According to the latest information, Air India Express will operate flights from Hindon to Jammu at 9:30 am, while the return flight from Jammu to Hindon will depart at 1 pm and arrive at 2:30 pm. Booking for the flights has already started and passengers can avail of this convenient and time-saving option to reach Jammu.
This development comes as a boon for devotees planning to visit the Vaishno Devi temple during Navratri, which begins on March 30. With train tickets in high demand, the waiting list has crossed 200 and confirmed tickets are not available in trains till May 25. The maximum waiting list is in trains going to Jammu and Katra. The commencement of flight services from Hindon Airport to Jammu is expected to ease the pressure on train tickets and provide a more convenient option for passengers. With the summer season approaching, the number of people visiting the mountains and the Vaishno Devi temple is expected to increase and this new air connectivity option is likely to be a game-changer for travelers.
