Gas Leak Triggers Fire During Puja, 11 Injured Including 3 Priests

Bhopal (The Uttam Hindu): Bhopal witnessed a tragic accident on Wednesday-Thursday night when a fire broke out during a Shivratri puja at a residence in the Bagsevania area. The fire, triggered by a gas leak from an LPG cylinder, left 11 people with burn injuries, with one in critical condition.
The incident occurred at the house of Naval Kishore Shukla, an employee of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly. During the puja, unaware of the gas leak, family members lit a diya, causing an instant blaze. Among the injured are three priests who had come to perform the ritual, seven family members, and a confectioner.
Police rushed to the scene and admitted the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities are investigating the cause of the gas leak and ensuring that safety protocols are followed to prevent such incidents in the future.
