Four Killed, Over 12 Injured in Fatal Bus Crash on Agra-Lucknow Expressway

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A tragic accident occurred on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in the Fatehabad police station area of Agra, Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday morning. A double-decker bus collided with a truck that was stationary on the road, resulting in the deaths of four passengers and injuries to more than 12 others. The injured have been rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The bus, travelling from Banaras to Agra, was moving at high speed when the driver reportedly lost control. The impact of the crash caused severe damage to the front of the bus. Passengers who were sleeping at the time of the accident were jolted awake by the collision. Those sitting in the front seats died instantly, while passengers seated at the back were injured.
Upon hearing the crash, bystanders and local police quickly arrived at the scene. They rescued the trapped passengers by breaking the windows of the bus. The bus was heavily damaged on one side, and rescue efforts continued as the injured were taken to nearby hospitals.
The police have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident. Authorities are working to gather more details and determine whether driver error or other factors contributed to the crash.
