Bhopal (The Uttam Hindu): A significant recovery was made during an ongoing Income Tax raid in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, with authorities uncovering 52 kg of gold, estimated to be worth over 40 crores. The gold was found in an abandoned Innova car parked in a forest near Mandora village, located near Bhopal. The discovery came after the police and Income Tax team acted on a tip-off received late at night. Upon reaching the spot around 2 AM, two bags filled with gold were found inside the vehicle.

The car, which is registered in the name of an individual from Gwalior, is now at the center of an investigation as the police work to track down its owner. Preliminary reports suggest that the gold, believed to be the result of illegal earnings, was hidden in the forest to protect it from potential raids. The Income Tax Department has seized the gold and is continuing its investigation into the source of the stash and its possible connections to illicit financial activities.
