New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A six-month-old fetus was discovered stuck in a toilet pipe at a house in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. The police confirmed the incident to a media input. According to the authorities the house owner Devendra alias Deva broke open the pipe to retrieve the fetus. The police arrived at the scene after being notified and questioned the landlord. During interrogation the landlord explained that the pipe had been cut due to water accumulation earlier in the morning and that’s when he found the fetus trapped inside. He also mentioned that nine tenants were residing in the house.

As news of the discovery spread people from the surrounding area gathered at the site. Police said the fetus had caused the toilet pipe to burst leading to water leaking. The landlord then removed the fetus by breaking the pipe. Upon receiving the landlord's report police arrived at the location and questioned both the landlord and the tenants. Following legal procedures, the fetus was secured by the authorities. Swatantra Kumar Singh Assistant Police Commissioner of Indirapuram stated that DNA samples from the tenants will be compared with that of the fetus to determine who is responsible for the crime.
