Five Killed in Massive Car-Truck Collision, Bodies Unidentified

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Information has come to light about a road accident in Basti, Uttar Pradesh on Monday. A speeding truck collided with a car here. In this accident, five people died on the spot, while the condition of three people is said to be critical.

The incident is of the National Highway of Gotwa Tata Agency of Nagar police station area. It is being told that a truck with a Rajasthan number (RJ18GB5710) was going from Basti to Ayodhya. During this time, the truck driver tried to change the lane, then a car going from Ayodhya to Basti collided with it. The accident was so severe that the car was shattered and five people in the car died on the spot in this accident.

At the same time, after the accident, a crowd of people gathered at the spot. After this, they informed the police about the matter. The police reached the spot and took the bodies in their custody and sent them for post-mortem. They also admitted three people injured in the accident to the hospital. Their condition is said to be critical. At present, all the injured are undergoing treatment in the district hospital. However, the deceased have not been identified yet.
