New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A massive fire broke out once again at the Maha Kumbh on February 15, this time at the Lavkush Dham camp. The blaze was intense and spread quickly across the area. Upon receiving the news, local police and administration sprang into action. Several pandals (temporary tents) were reported to have been destroyed by the fire. Fire brigade teams were immediately dispatched to the scene. Fortunately, there have been no reports of casualties as of now. However, the exact cause of the fire is still unknown.

This marks the third fire incident at the Maha Kumbh. The previous fire occurred on February 9 in Sector-23. Firefighters managed to control the blaze soon after it broke out, with the cause later identified as a leaking gas cylinder. Earlier, on January 30, another fire had erupted at the Maha Kumbh, destroying over a dozen tents in the Tent City near Chhatnagar Ghat and Nageshwar Ghat, Sector 22. The fire started in a Vedic tent city set up by a private company. Chief Fire Officer Pramod Kumar Sharma confirmed that the fire was promptly brought under control by fire brigade teams who reached the site immediately after the alert.

Furthermore, a fire also occurred on January 19 at the Gita Press camp in Gorakhpur, adding to the series of unfortunate events at the ongoing Maha Kumbh. The repeated incidents of fire have raised concerns over safety protocols at the event, and authorities are continuing to investigate the causes of these blazes.
