Father's Deadly Doubts: IT Engineer Murders 3-Year-Old Son Over Wife's Character

Pune (The Uttam Hindu): A shocking incident has come to light in Pune, where a 38-year-old IT engineer, Madhav Tiketi, has been arrested for murdering his 3-and-a-half-year-old son. The accused, who was unemployed for the past two months, allegedly slit his child's throat and abandoned the body in a deserted area. According to the police, Madhav's wife, Swaroopa, lodged a missing complaint at Chandannagar police station on Friday, after which the police began investigating CCTV footage. The footage revealed that Madhav had taken his son out at 2:30 pm on Thursday, but was seen buying clothes alone by 5:00 pm.

The police tracked Madhav's mobile location to a lodge in Vadgaonsheri, where he was found in a drunken state. After regaining consciousness, Madhav confessed to the crime and led the police to the crime spot, where the child's blood-soaked body was recovered. DCP (Zone 4) Himmat Jadhav stated that Madhav had doubts about his wife's character, which led to concerns about their son's upbringing. In a fit of rage, Madhav committed the heinous crime. The accused, a native of Visakhapatnam, has been arrested and the body of the child has been sent for post-mortem examination.
