New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Reports claiming that four Indian nationals arrested in connection with the 2023 murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada have been granted bail have been debunked as false. Canada's prominent news agency, CBC News has denied these claims stating that no accused in the case has been released on bail and all remain in custody.

According to CBC News, allegations published by some Indian media outlets about the accused being released following the conclusion of the case are incorrect. Ann Seymour representing the BC Prosecution Service confirmed that all four accused are still in custody and no bail has been granted.

The next steps in the case involve a pretrial conference scheduled for February 11 with the accused set to appear in court on February 12. The false reports of bail have been dismissed following this clarification from Canadian authorities.

This development underscores the need for accurate reporting as the case progresses in Canada.
