Diplomatic Shift: Russia Ready to Negotiate Over Prolonged Ukraine Conflict

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The time has come to put an end to the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia. Russia is now ready for talks regarding this. The Kremlin says that top Russian officials will hold talks with the US in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday on restoring relations and the issue of war in Ukraine. Amidst the growing tension between Russia and America and the Ukraine war, this dialogue is considered an important diplomatic initiative for global politics.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and President Vladimir Putin's foreign affairs adviser Yuri Ushakov will leave for Saudi Arabia's capital Riyadh on Monday. He said that both sides will also discuss preparations for the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump. Peskov said that the main objective of the talks is to 'restore the entire framework of Russia-US relations'. Along with this, discussions will be held on the solution of the Ukraine crisis and a possible meeting of the two presidents. Earlier, US President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff told Fox News that he and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz would go to Saudi Arabia to discuss the Ukraine issue. At the same time, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is also going to Saudi Arabia with a high-level delegation, where he will hold direct talks with Russian officials. The purpose of these meetings is to find a diplomatic solution to end the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
