New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Bajrang Dal staged a protest on Saturday against the upcoming Diljit Dosanjh concert in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, scheduled for December 8. Yash Bachani, a member of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), stated that the Bajrang Dal might intensify its protests, expressing opposition to the serving of alcohol and meat at the event.

Bachani claimed that Bajrang Dal received information that alcohol and meat would be openly served at the concert. He also raised concerns over women's safety and stated that they were inspecting the event’s arrangements with local police authorities. Diljit Dosanjh, before the concert, visited Dukaan 56 to have Poha and later interacted with fans at a selfie point in Palasia.

Bachani also warned against potential incidents of "love jihad," asserting that Bajrang Dal is keeping a close watch. He emphasized their opposition to the public serving of alcohol and meat in an effort to preserve the cultural values of Indore. The VHP member hinted that the Bajrang Dal might take to the streets on Sunday to further protest. He added, "Today was just a trailer, the full movie will unfold tomorrow."

Meanwhile, Indore Police assured that law enforcement is taking the situation seriously. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Amarendra Singh confirmed that no permissions had been granted for serving or consuming alcohol in public spaces during the concert. The police are monitoring the situation closely to ensure public safety, particularly concerning women's security and drug-related issues. In another development, the Indore police arrested two individuals involved in black marketing of concert tickets. The suspects had purchased tickets online and were attempting to resell them for ₹10,000. DCP Rajesh Tripathi mentioned that the crime branch is actively monitoring ticket fraud activities ahead of the concert.
