New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh is facing increasing scrutiny ahead of his "Dil-Luminati" concert scheduled for November 15 in Hyderabad. The Telangana government, along with the Child Development Department, has issued a formal notice to the singer, raising concerns about certain aspects of his upcoming performance. The notice includes several directives for Dosanjh regarding the show. Specifically, it asks him to refrain from performing songs that promote gun culture and to avoid inviting children on stage, citing potential risks due to the loud sound system, which could harm young attendees.

The controversy surrounding the concert was further fueled by a complaint from Pandit Rao Dharanwar, a professor from Chandigarh. Dharanwar criticized Dosanjh for allegedly performing songs with obscene content, which he believes are inappropriate for children. He pointed out that Dosanjh often invites children to join him on stage during his performances, and shares photos of these moments on social media. Given the popularity of his concerts, which attract large numbers of young fans, the issue has raised significant concerns.

This is not the first time Diljit Dosanjh has faced such complaints. Similar issues were raised during his past concerts in Delhi and Jaipur, where he had shared images of young fans attending his shows. The ongoing scrutiny has now prompted the Telangana authorities to take action before his highly anticipated concert in Hyderabad.
