Delhi Shockwave: Rohini School Hit with Bomb Threat Just One Day After Prashant Vihar Blast
New Delhi(The Uttam Hindu): A private school in Rohini received a bomb threat by email on Friday, following an explosion in Prashant Vihar, Delhi. The school immediately informed the police, and DFS personnel arrived at 10:57 AM. A thorough search of the school premises was conducted by a team comprising police officers, a bomb disposal unit, and a dog squad. After an intensive search, nothing was found suspicious, and the authorities concluded that it was a hoax.
The police have opened an investigation into the case and recorded statements from the school officials. This incident took place just a day after a blast in Prashant Vihar, near PVR, in which one person was injured. There is said to have been a white powder indicated by the officials, however unclear whether it is bomb. Another individual injured from this process received treatment and was soon to be discharged, where a suspect is still yet to be released.
It happened shortly after an explosion was heard on October 20 near the CRPF School at Rohini. In that instance, the walls and windows were heavily damaged, but no deaths or injuries were reported. Both incidents are being followed up by authorities to unravel causes and identify perpetrators.
