Delhi DPS School Evacuated After Bomb Threat, Online Classes to Be Held for Students
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): DPS School located in Dwarka of the national capital Delhi received a bomb threat on Friday morning. A threatening email was sent to the school. The police who reached the spot did not find anything suspicious. DPS school informed the Fire Department about this at around 5.15 am. Immediately after this, a team of the Fire Department and Delhi Police reached the school campus and started investigation. Nothing suspicious was found in the investigation. After this, the school manager informed the parents about the incident and asked them not to send their children to school. Today the children's classes will be online.
For the past few days, Delhi schools are receiving bomb threats. This is the fourth case in 10 days when a Delhi school has received a bomb threat. Earlier, on December 17, two schools in South Delhi and North West Delhi received bomb threats.
Earlier on 9 December, 40 schools in Delhi received bomb threats. After this, the children were sent home. But, when the Delhi Police and other investigation teams arrived for investigation, no suspicious facts were found regarding the threat. At the same time, Manish Sisodia had talked to IANS on 9 December about the threats of bombing schools in Delhi.
He had said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are not concerned about the law and order situation in Delhi. Our demand is that Amit Shah should pay more attention to Delhi." Earlier, AAP's national convenor and former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had written a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the deteriorating law and order situation in Delhi. In which there was also a mention of calls and emails being sent to schools.
