Deadly Collision: 6 Killed, 1 Injured as Car Hits Truck at High Speed

Sirohi (The Uttam Hindu): Six people lost their lives in a tragic road accident near Kivarli in Aburoad Sadar police station area of Sirohi district of Rajasthan on Thursday morning around 3 o'clock. The accident happened when 7 people were travelling in a car from Ahmedabad to Jalore. Then the car collided with a truck near Kivarli.
The dead include women and children, while a woman is seriously injured, who has been referred to Sirohi after first aid. On receiving information about the incident, CO Gomaram, Sadar Thanadhikari Darshan Singh, SI Gokulram, Head Constable Vinod and other police officers reached the spot and started investigating the incident.
CO Gomaram said that the car occupants were going from Ahmedabad to Jalore when their car collided with a truck going ahead near Kivarli on National Highway 27. There were seven people in the car, four of whom died on the spot, while two died during treatment. A woman is seriously injured, who was sent to Sirohi for treatment.
Head Constable Vinod Lamba said that he was on patrol at night. After going ahead of Kivarli, he heard a loud crash, after which he reached the spot in two minutes and informed the higher officials and ambulance. A crane was called to take out the car stuck in the truck and after about 40 minutes of hard work, the bodies could be taken out.
The deceased in the accident include Narayan Prajapati (58), his wife Poshi Devi (55), son Dushyant (24), driver Kaluram (40), Yashram (4) and Jaideep (6). Injured woman Dariya Devi (35) is getting treatment in Sirohi. The deceased were residents of Jalore district. They were returning from Ahmedabad to Jalore when their car collided with a truck from behind.
CO Gomaram said while talking to the media, "This incident happened at 3 am. The accident happened between a truck and a car. All the deceased were residents of Jalore district and were going from Ahmedabad to Jalore."
