Congress Leader Posts Picture of Aurangzeb and Tipu Sultan with Controversial Caption; Case Filed

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Police have registered a case against Mujammil Attar, a local Congress leader in Belgaum, Karnataka. It is alleged that Attar had shared an inflammatory post on the social media platform Instagram by putting pictures of Aurangzeb and Tipu Sultan. Mujammil Attar is a resident of Azad Nagar in Belgaum.
According to the information, Muzammil Attar had recently shared a post on his Instagram account, which had pictures of Aurangzeb and Tipu Sultan with the caption, “Baap hain tumhare, bhula mat.” The post also included a provocative video clip from the Hindi film Agneepath, which had the line “Jwala si jalti hai”.
Soon after the case was registered, the accused Congress leader removed the post from his social media account. The complaint has been lodged at the Belagavi Market Police Station. According to the police, the original post was put up on Instagram by someone else, which was reshared by Congress leader Muzammil Attar. However, the caption was written by Attar.
