Cold Wave Grips North India, Rain in Punjab and Himachal, Snowfall in Hills

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu)- The weather has changed. Heavy rains are occurring in many states including Punjab, Himachal, Haryana, UP. Due to which the temperature has dropped. The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain with thunderstorms in the capital on Thursday, due to which a slight drop in temperature can be seen. The maximum temperature is expected to be 26 degrees and the minimum 18 degrees Celsius.

Rain at many places in Punjab-Haryana and Chandigarh

The Meteorological Department said on Thursday that Chandigarh and surrounding areas received light rain during the day, causing a sharp drop in the maximum temperature. Some areas of Haryana, including Ambala and Panchkula, and Jalandhar, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Patiala and Pathankot in Punjab also received rain. According to the weather report of the Meteorological Department, Chandigarh received 2.5 mm of rain during the day.

Snowfall in Srinagar, Uttarakhand and Manali

Snowfall is occurring on Mall Road in Manali, Himachal Pradesh. It is snowing in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir at this time.
