Thiruvananthapuram (The Uttam Hindu): In a chilling confession, a 23-year-old man named Afan walked into the Venjaramoodu police station on Monday evening and admitted to murdering six people, including his 13-year-old brother, 80-year-old grandmother and 19-year-old girlfriend. Police confirmed the deaths of five victims, while his mother remains in critical condition at a private medical college hospital. Shortly after his confession, Afan claimed to have consumed poison and was immediately hospitalized. Authorities are now investigating the motive behind this gruesome crime.

According to initial reports, Afan allegedly committed the murders because his family refused to clear his mounting debts.
