Naraingarh (The Uttam Hindu): BSP leader Harbilas Singh Rajjumajra, who had contested the Naraingarh Assembly election last year on a BSP-INLD ticket but was unsuccessful, and his friend were injured in a shooting incident late in the evening at Naraingarh.

According to reports, Harbilas was sitting in a car with his friends Puneet Dang and Gugal Pandit when unidentified attackers opened fire on them. Both Harbilas and Puneet sustained bullet injuries in the attack. The injured were immediately taken to the Sub-Divisional Civil Hospital and later referred to PGI Chandigarh for advanced treatment. Harbilas's condition is reported to be critical.

A large crowd gathered outside the hospital after the incident. SP Surinder Singh Bhoria, who arrived at the scene, said, “Harbilas and Puneet have sustained gunshot injuries and have been referred for further treatment. Gugal Pandit, who was in shock, was also referred for medical care. The victims were reportedly waiting for someone when the attackers arrived in another vehicle and fired multiple shots at them. The motive behind the attack is yet to be determined. Special teams have been formed to apprehend the suspects, and we are coordinating with the Himachal police in the investigation.”
