New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Several schools in Delhi-NCR and Delhi University's St. Stephen’s College received bomb threats via email on Friday morning, triggering panic and a swift response from law enforcement agencies.


The Delhi Police confirmed that an email warning of a bomb was received at St. Stephen’s College at 7:42 AM. The Bomb Disposal Team was immediately deployed to the site to conduct a thorough search.


Meanwhile, Ahlcon International School in Mayur Vihar Phase 1 also reported a similar threat. The school administration informed the SHO of Pandav Nagar, following which the East District Bomb Disposal Squad, police officers, and security personnel reached the premises to carry out inspections.


In Noida, Shiv Nadar School was also targeted with a bomb threat via email. The Noida Police, Bomb Squad, Fire Brigade, and Dog Squad were dispatched to the location. Senior police officials are on the ground overseeing security operations. The cyber team has launched an investigation into the source of the emails.


Authorities have urged the public to remain calm and not fall prey to rumors. The Delhi Police confirmed that all searched locations have been secured and no suspicious items have been found so far.


The investigation into the threats is ongoing.
