BLAZE AT ANNAPOORNA HOSTEL: Students Escape Fire in Greater Noida, Watch Video

Noida (The Uttam Hindu): A sudden fire broke out at the Annapurna Girls Hostel in Knowledge Park-3, Greater Noida, on Thursday evening, causing widespread panic in the area. The fire started due to a blast in the air conditioning unit installed in the hostel and spread rapidly. At the time of the incident, some students were present in the hostel and managed to escape. However, two students got stuck on the second floor, prompting locals to rush to their aid with a ladder. Unfortunately, one of the students fell while descending but fortunately did not suffer any serious injuries, according to the fire department.
Chief Fire Officer Pradeep Kumar Choubey stated that the fire department received information about the fire at around 5 pm on Thursday and immediately reached the spot to control the fire. He confirmed that all students were safely evacuated before the fire brigade arrived and that necessary legal action is being taken. A video of the students trying to escape the fire has gone viral on social media, showcasing the terrifying scene. Fortunately, there has been no loss of life reported in this incident.
