Now only vegetarian food will be served to the passengers in this train. This decision has been taken keeping in mind those passengers who like to eat vegetarian food due to religious reasons or as per their choice. Earlier many passengers were worried that vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is prepared together in the train, due to which there was doubt about the purity of the food. But now this problem has been solved.

Katra is a religious place and most of the passengers going there are vegetarian. In such a situation, the decision to serve completely vegetarian food in the Vande Bharat Express running on this route has been taken keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers. The aim of the railways is that the passengers get the experience of traveling in a sacred environment.
