New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The Bangladesh government has sought help from Interpol against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Bangladesh's National Central Bureau (NCB) has sent a request to Interpol to issue a red corner notice against Sheikh Hasina and her 11 associates. This action is being taken on the basis of the investigation started after the violence and anti-government movement in Dhaka last year.

Bangladesh sought help from Interpol against Sheikh Hasina, requested to issue Red Corner Notice: NCB Assistant Inspector General Inamul Haque Sagar said that this request has been made on the basis of appeals received from courts and investigative agencies. He said that with the help of Interpol, it becomes easier to identify and arrest fugitives hiding abroad.

Let us tell you that in July last year, a student movement started against reservation, which later turned into violent violence on 5 August. After this violence, Sheikh Hasina had to leave the country. According to reports, she has taken refuge in India. A few days after she left the country, an interim government was formed under the leadership of Mohammad Yunus, which filed a case against Hasina and her associates in the International Crimes Tribunal. After this, an arrest warrant was also issued.
