ATS Foils Major Terror Plot Targeting India-Israel Defence Bases, 3 Held

Lucknow (The Uttam Hindu): Uttar Pradesh Anti Terrorist Squad (UP ATS) has foiled a major terrorist conspiracy and detained three suspected youths. These youths are accused of plotting to carry out suicide attacks by targeting the defense establishments of India and Israel. They were also trying to incite other youths in this direction through social media.
Two of the detained youths are from Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh, while the third youth is from Patna, the capital of Bihar. ATS has arrested them on the basis of inputs received from intelligence agencies. At present, interrogation is going on and formal arrest has not been made yet.
According to sources, the accused were sharing provocative videos and speeches related to radical ideology on social media. They were also uploading content related to arms training, which was aimed at motivating the youth towards extremist activities. Apart from this, messages spreading hatred against India and Israel were also being posted continuously.
ATS and central agencies are now investigating in depth whether any organized international terrorist network is active behind them or they were in contact with any foreign terrorist organization. Also, investigation is being done to find out who else is involved in their network.
Further action will be taken based on the investigation and all aspects of this conspiracy are likely to be revealed soon.
