Assault on CBI Inspector in Kurukshetra Village; FIR Filed Against Accused

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A case has emerged involving the assault of a CBI inspector in the village of Mangna, located in the Pehowa subdivision of Kurukshetra district. The police have registered an FIR against six individuals for assaulting the officer and obstructing government duties.
The incident took place when several individuals attacked CBI Inspector Indrajit Arya, who had traveled from Delhi to verify a man who had recently returned from Dubai. The accused not only physically assaulted the inspector but also tore his official documents. An FIR has been filed based on the inspector’s complaint, naming Nishan Singh and others under various charges.
Inspector Arya explained that on Thursday evening, around 7:30 pm, he visited the house of Jaskaran in Mangna village to verify a young man named Nishan Singh, who had returned from Dubai the previous year. Nishan Singh spoke to Jaskaran on the phone, claiming he was at a relative’s house. While this conversation was taking place, 5-6 youths arrived at the scene, began abusing the inspector, and physically assaulted him. The attackers also destroyed his official papers.
The inspector further reported that one of the youths attempted to strangle him while the others continued to beat him. The police arrived and rescued him from the attackers. Following the incident, the police registered a case against Nishan Singh and several others and have begun an investigation. Kurukshetra Police Inspector Vikrant stated that the CBI officers were conducting covert work and had shown their official identification cards to the locals. Multiple charges have been filed, and the investigation is ongoing.
