Armed Forces to Get Exclusive Stay at Maha Kumbh Tent Colony, Online Booking Mandatory
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): This Maha Kumbh, the Uttar Pradesh government is making special arrangements for soldiers and ex-servicemen from across the country. A dedicated tent colony will be set up in Prayagraj near the Sangam along with accommodation inside the fort, to facilitate their stay during the holy event. Soldiers and ex-servicemen can visit from any corner of the country to take a sacred dip in the Sangam but they will need to make online bookings for their accommodation. The booking window will be open from January 13 to February 26. Additionally, help desks and medical facilities are being organized inside the fort to ensure smooth services.
The government is working diligently to prepare for a clean and healthy Maha Kumbh in 2025. A vector control unit has been deployed to ensure the fair remains insect-free with 35 sanitation circles established to spray insecticides. A team of 45 employees working in three shifts has been assigned to maintain cleanliness throughout the event. Joint Director Dr. VP Singh and Assistant Nodal Dr. Anand Kumar Singh have assured thorough efforts to ensure a hygienic environment for all pilgrims.
Repair work inside the fort is also in progress to accommodate the arrangements. The initiative reflects the government’s commitment to honoring soldiers and providing them with a hassle-free experience at one of the largest religious gatherings in the world.
