Anna Hazare Reveals How Arvind Kejriwal’s Image Took a Hit in Delhi

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): In the initial trends released by the Election Commission on Saturday regarding the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025, the BJP has got an absolute majority. According to the initial trends, the BJP is leading on 48 seats and the Aam Aadmi Party on 22 seats. The Aam Aadmi Party, which has been in power for 10 years, is heading towards a crushing defeat. Meanwhile, a statement by social worker Anna Hazare has also come to the fore.

Anna Hazare told the media, “Kejriwal got defamed due to alcohol and he lost the trust of the people of Delhi. I have been saying for a long time that while contesting elections, the character of the candidate should be good, his thoughts should be good and there should be no stain on his image. But, they (AAP) did not understand this. They got entangled in alcohol and money. Arvind Kejriwal's image got tarnished due to the liquor scam and that is why he is getting less votes in the elections. People saw that Arvind Kejriwal talks about character but himself gets involved in alcohol. Allegations keep on happening in politics. In such a situation, the leader has to go before the public and prove that the allegations leveled against him are false. The truth does not change by making allegations.”

On his relations with Kejriwal, he said that during the movement, a meeting was called to form a political party in Delhi. I did not go to that meeting. Kejriwal formed the party, the people of Delhi gave majority to the new party. The government was formed. But, Kejriwal got defamed in the liquor scam. He lost the trust of the people. The election results that have come today are the result of this.

Let us tell you that counting of votes is going on in 70 seats. In the initial trends of the Election Commission, BJP is moving towards a landslide victory and Aam Aadmi Party is lagging behind.
