AI-Powered Dubbing on Prime Video: Watch Global Content in Your Language

If you are fond of watching foreign language films and web series, but face problems due to language, then now your problem is going to be solved. Amazon Prime Video has launched a new Artificial Intelligence (AI) based dubbing feature. With the help of this new feature, now viewers will be able to easily understand the content of other languages.

This AI-based dubbing feature of Amazon Prime Video will currently be available only for select films and web series. However, the company has expressed hope that it will be expanded soon and content in more languages can be dubbed in the future. Currently, this feature is available only for 12 titles in English and Latin American Spanish languages, including popular series like "El Cid: La Leyenda" and "Long Lost".

Giving information about this new feature in a blog post, Amazon said that its main objective is to break language barriers and broaden the reach of content. Raf Soltanovich, Technology Vice President, Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, said that his company's main focus is to make the customer experience on Amazon Prime Video better and more convenient. According to the company, this AI-based dubbing feature will be available on titles for which the dubbing option was not previously available.

It is worth noting that AI-based dubbing technology is not limited to Amazon Prime Video only. Other big companies like Netflix, Meta and YouTube are also working rapidly in this direction. According to Netflix data, dubbed series are becoming very popular among the audience. For example, 40% of the viewership of Korean unscripted series has come from dubbed versions. Dubbed content is also getting positive response from the audience in Brazil, Mexico, Latin America and European countries.

The AI-based dubbing feature is not available in India yet, but with Amazon entering this field, it is expected that the dubbing feature will soon include Indian languages as well. Amazon Prime Video already offers dubbing support in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and other Indian languages in India.
