New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Amanatullah Khan is facing fresh legal issues. The Delhi Police have filed an FIR against him, accusing him of aiding a murder suspect in fleeing from custody. Additionally, reports suggest that Khan's supporters clashed with the Crime Branch team during the operation.

The Crime Branch of Delhi Police filed a complaint against Khan, alleging that he and his associates helped a murder suspect, who was arrested, to escape. Police had visited Khan's residence in connection with the case, but neither Khan nor the fugitive were found. Authorities are now searching for both Khan and the suspect. According to police reports, Khan's supporters obstructed the police’s actions during the operation.

The Crime Branch team had gone to the Jamia area of Delhi to arrest the murder suspect when Khan's supporters allegedly attacked the police and assisted the accused in escaping. Khan himself is reported to have been present at the scene. The police stated that the Crime Branch team had raided the Jamia Nagar area to apprehend the suspect, but some individuals interfered with the police operation and physically clashed with the officers. As a result, the suspect managed to flee. Local police have since arrived at the scene and are conducting an investigation into the matter.
