Jalandhar (The Uttam Hindu): Aam Aadmi Party has lost the Delhi Assembly elections and BJP has succeeded in forming the government in the country's capital after 27 years. Many reasons are being considered for the defeat of Aam Aadmi Party such as Arvind Kejriwal came to power in Delhi by promising to eradicate corruption. During Arvind Kejriwal's tenure as CM, many of his ministers got caught in corruption cases and had to resign.

The biggest problem faced by people during the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi is the broken roads and lanes of Delhi. Delhi's roads, that is, the lanes of the mohallas, were dug up for laying gas and water pipelines and were not repaired again.

A perception was being formed among the public against Arvind Kejriwal that by luring people with freebies, attention was being diverted from the real issues like electricity, water and road facilities.

It is also being said that if Aam Aadmi Party had formed an alliance with Congress, then perhaps the situation would have been different today. Fighting the elections alone in Delhi was also detrimental for AAP because Congress also cut AAP's votes. Kejriwal's arrest and subsequent resignation led to instability in the party's leadership. Despite the appointment of Atishi as the new Chief Minister, this change in leadership proved challenging for the party. The biggest thing was that Arvind Kejriwal's credibility decreased tremendously.
