24-Year-Old Woman Attacks Stepfather in Nallasopara, Mutilates Genitals After Alleged Sexual Abuse

Palghar, Maharashtra (The Uttam Hindu): In a shocking incident from Nallasopara East, a 24-year-old woman, Preeti Shukla, has been arrested for brutally attacking her stepfather, Ramesh Bharti, following alleged years of sexual abuse. The incident took place on Monday afternoon around 3 PM in Sarvodaya Nagar Chawl, Santosh Bhuvan area.

According to the Tulinj Police, Shukla had been facing repeated sexual assault by Bharti over the last two years. On the day of the incident, Bharti allegedly made another advance, prompting Shukla to retaliate. Police reports state that she pretended to comply, blindfolded him, and then attacked him with a knife, severely injuring him, including mutilating his genitals.

After the initial assault, Bharti fled the house bleeding, but Shukla reportedly chased him onto the street and continued the attack. Bystanders witnessed the confrontation, with Shukla allegedly shouting that her actions were a result of ongoing abuse. A video of her holding the knife after the assault has surfaced and is circulating among locals.

Bharti is currently in critical condition and is being treated at Mumbai’s Shatabdi Hospital. Tulinj Police have arrested Shukla and are conducting a detailed investigation into the matter, including verifying the claims of prolonged abuse. Authorities are also examining whether any prior complaints had been filed.
