10,000 KM Journey Ends in Tears: Distressed Canadian Tourist Seeks Help from Agra Police After Taj Mahal Trip
Uttar Pradesh (The Uttam Hindu): An incident from Agra, Uttar Pradesh, has come to light involving a Canadian woman who traveled to see the Taj Mahal. Her visit took a distressing turn, leading her to file a complaint at the Sikandra Police Station.
According to the woman's statement, she had come to Agra for sightseeing when she met a man who introduced himself as a RAW agent. The man offered to show her around the city, and their relationship soon became romantic. The two eventually started living together in a live-in arrangement. As their relationship deepened, the man promised to marry her. However, after she agreed, he allegedly used the promise of marriage to establish physical relations with her. Matters escalated when the woman informed him that she was pregnant; instead of supporting her, he allegedly coerced her into having physical relations with his friends.
The Canadian woman accused three men of rape in her complaint. She stated that she arrived in Agra on March 12, 2024, where she met Sahil Sharma, who befriended her and promised to marry her. Under this pretense, Sahil engaged in an intimate relationship with her. Later, he allegedly took obscene photos and videos of her. When she became pregnant and asked about their marriage, Sahil refused and threatened to release the photos and videos. Upon her objection, Sahil reportedly forced her into physical relations with his friend Arif Ali and another unidentified man.
Based on her complaint, the police have registered a case against the three accused. The woman has undergone a medical examination, and her statement has been recorded. Preliminary investigations revealed that the accused, who pretended to be a RAW agent to gain the woman's trust, is employed as a trainer at Rehosh Gym in Shastripuram.
