Ghaziabad (The Uttam Hindu): The age-old saying "Jaako Rakhe Saiyan, Maar Sake Na Koi" (Those protected by God are beyond harm) proved true on Thursday at Mahagun Mall in Ghaziabad. A 10-month-old child, Devansh (also known as Divyansh), fell from his mother's lap on the escalator and landed on the canopy between the second and third floors. Despite the fall, the child miraculously escaped with only minor effects. The incident occurred when Anand Thakur, a resident of Abhaykhand Pratham and a medical store worker in Vasundhara, visited the mall with his wife, their four-year-old daughter, and Devansh to shop for their daughter's birthday. As the family ascended the escalator to the third floor, Devansh, who had been sitting in his mother's lap, began to play and mischievously slipped from her arms, falling onto the canopy below.

The incident caused chaos in the mall as onlookers screamed, but fortunately, the child landed on a rubberized canopy, which cushioned the fall and prevented serious injuries. Security guards quickly rushed to the spot, and the family immediately took Devansh to Max Hospital for a check-up. After a thorough primary examination, the doctors confirmed that the child had no external injuries and was completely unharmed. Devansh was treated and discharged, and the family returned home, relieved and grateful for the miraculous escape.
