Continued Gun Violence in the U.S., 4 People Injured in Washington D.C. Shooting Incident

Washington (The Uttam Hindu): Gun violence continues to rise in the United States with another shooting incident in Northeast D.C. last night that left four people injured. The victims, including three men and one woman were hospitalized after the incident that took place around 9 P.M. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, all the victims were conscious and breathing after the attack.


The shooting occurred in the 1500 block of Harry Thomas Way Northeast, just 500 feet away from the NoMa-Gallaudet U New York Avenue Metro Station. Two of the injured victims were taken to the hospital, while the other two made their way to a nearby medical facility on their own. Police reported that the condition of the victims is currently stable.

Following the incident, concern spread among people in the area, causing some to flee. The location, which is typically busy has since been cleared. Police detectives are working on gathering evidence and identifying potential witnesses. According to one report, the authorities have yet to release the identities of the victims and have provided no information regarding the suspects or the motive behind the attack.
